Pullman Hotels & Resorts has unveiled The Art Of Pullman brand campaign in collaboration with one of the world’s most popular football brands, Paris Saint-Germain, an official partner of Accor’s lifestyle loyalty program ALL- Accor Live Limitless. The global campaign is inspired by the brand passion for art and design and interprets different hotel experiences in a modern, aspirational and artistic way. The campaign celebrates the power of art through the Paris Saint-Germain players, showcasing the star athletes in a series of digital episodes.

The campaign, which will debut on Pullman’s social media platforms, YouTube channel and on the Pullman website throughout August, will feature several top Paris Saint-Germain players, including Neymar JR, Kylian Mbappé, Ander Herrera, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria, Keylor Navas and Christiane Endler, as they set out to inspire and encourage viewers to push their boundaries and think outside the box.

Thousand Trails Campgrounds kicks off “Cinema Under the Stars” this weekend. The movie nights will now be a regular activity at select campgrounds across the country, as adjustments for social distancing activities continue throughout 2020. OFFERING OF EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

 

Adapting their offering of events and activities to accommodate today’s social distancing environment, Thousand Trails is bringing their “Cinema Under the Stars” movie theater experience to guests of their RV campgrounds this summer.

The outdoor movies were set to begin on July 24th and 25th at select campgrounds across the country with more locations added in the coming weeks. Guests of the selected campgrounds will be able to pull up their golf cart, lay out a blanket or bring their camping chair and relax as they enjoy open air seating and watch a movie on the big screen, under the stars.

Movies will range from new releases to instant classics and will fit with the campground’s theme weekend or other planned activities at the campground.

Select campgrounds were provided state of the art, 16 or 20-foot wide movie screens and equipment to ensure guests enjoy a positive outdoor movie experience under the stars.

The campaign highlights ‘Thai Smiles’ in the meaning of sending support and care from Thai people to people in the world during this difficult time of the pandemic. The project is set to enhance Thailand’s image and help boost the country’s economic well-being through travelling activities and tourism, with long-term expectations. Presiding over the opening ceremony is General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Thailand’s Prime Minister with General Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, Saksayam Chidchob, Minister of Transport, Distat Hotrakitya, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, Chote Trachu, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and Dr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand joining the event at Aksra Theatre, King Power Complex, Rangnam Road.

Moreover, the campaign’s title ‘THAILAND SMILES WITH YOU’ will also appear on signboards at King Power Stadium, Leicester, England, as well as the club’s social media which are followed by more than 13 million worldwide subscribers. The special short film ‘THAILAND SMILES WITH YOU’ starring LCFC footballers will be broadcasted within and outside the country. Ten thousand limited-screened jerseys titled ‘THAILAND SMILES WITH YOU’ will be available for sale in Thailand and all proceeds to be donated to The Faculty of Science, Mahidol University and The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital RNA COVID-19 vaccine development programmes and other COVID-19 vaccine initiatives supported by the Thai government accordingly.

Californian’s love for cars and live entertainment gets a fresh new twist this summer in light of COVID-19, as CBF Productions presents Concerts in Your Car, California’s first socially-distanced concert and entertainment venue. The special popup style of events will take place through the end of September at the Ventura County Fairgrounds parking lot.

 

Concerts in Your Car offers 700 carloads of fans the opportunity to see live, in-person performances. The empty parking lot is transformed into a pulsing theatre-in-the-round, complete with a massive stage, state-of-the-art sound system transmitting the performance to your car’s FM radio, elaborate lighting and four massive LED video screens that will provide 360 degrees of visual entertainment that can be seen from any parking spot. Concert-goers can also see and interact with one another with the download of a Zoom link, for a more connected crowd experience!

All event staff will be wearing required PPE (personal protective equipment).

During the concert, attendees are asked to stay inside their vehicle to view the performers from the stage or on the giant screens. Attendees can also sit in the bed of their trucks or in the back of SUVs as long as face masks are worn. All guests that exit their vehicle must wear a mask or face covering and remain next to their vehicle, and no more than two guests per vehicle can leave to use the restroom at the same time.

To complete the concert experience, be sure to purchase food at our on-site concession stands or bring your own food and beverages to enjoy during the show. To support our community, we have teamed up with local eateries, take out partners, where concertgoers can pre-order their food, ready for curbside pickup the day of the event.

In addition to live concerts and events, CBF Productions presents a variety of safe events for all ages including Movies in Your Car, Tributes Bands in Your Car and Theatre in Your Car.

Event tickets are priced per car, per section “ring” and available in advance only. Movie tickets are general admission and vehicles will be placed on a first come, first served basis to an assigned parking space.

The LINQ Hotel + Experience also successfully reopened its gaming floor and other amenities recently. Netflix has confirmed the casting of Ji Jin-hee, Lee Jae-wook and Hong Seung-hee for its new Korean original series Move to Heaven, which stars Lee Je-hoon and Tang Jun-sang as lead roles.

Move to Heaven tells the story of Geu-ru, a young man with Asperger’s syndrome, and Sang-gu, who suddenly finds himself as Geu-ru’s guardian. The two work as trauma cleaners, clearing out the possessions of the deceased and uncovering the many stories that are left behind.

Ji Jin-hee (Designated Survivor: 60 Days, Misty) makes a special appearance as Geu-ru’s father Jeong-u who is a kind and affectionate man. He operates Move to Heaven, a disposal service for the personal belongings of the deceased, and designates his younger brother Sang-gu as Geu-ru’s guardian.

Lee Jae-wook (When the Weather Is Fine, Extraordinary You, Search WWW), makes a special appearance as Su-cheol, who had been involved with Sang-gu being sent to prison. Su-cheol’s appearance will pique viewers’ curiosity not only for more insight into Sang-gu’s past but also about Move to Heaven in general.

Hong Seung-hee (Who Kissed Me?, I Wanna Hear Your Song, Memorist) plays Na-mu, a key character alongside Geu-ru and Sang-gu. Na-mu lives next door to Geu-ru and considers him as family and is protective of him. She keeps a careful eye on Sang-gu, who suddenly becomes Geu-ru’s guardian. 

Move to Heaven, directed by Kim Sung-ho (How to Steal a Dog)  and written by Yoon Ji-ryun (Boys Over Flowers and Angel Eyes), will be available worldwide, exclusively on Netflix.

Honda’s Scott Dixon dominated Saturday night’s NTT IndyCar Series season-opening race, leading 157 of 200 laps to score his 47th career IndyCar win.

 

 

 

 

A race that started out ominously for Honda ended in triumph, as Scott Dixon dominated tonight’s season-opener, leading 157 of 200 laps around the Texas Motor Speedway oval to score his 47th career Indy car win.

 

The first race of the 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, delayed three months by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, took place without spectators and with limited crew members on a hot night in Fort Worth, Texas.  With social distancing protocols preventing Honda engineers from assisting teams during the engine starting procedure on the grid, an issue with the spec series ECU resulted in Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal and Alexander Rossi all going at least one lap down to the leaders in the opening laps.

At the front of the field, pole qualifier Josef Newgarden took the early lead, but it soon became apparent that Dixon and his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, Felix Rosenqvist, had two of the quickest cars in the field.  Passing Newgarden for the lead on Lap 32, Dixon was rarely headed for the rest of the night, at times opening up leads of five seconds or more on the fast, 1.5-mile TMS oval.  The dominating win was the fourth for Dixon at Texas, and the 47th of his career. With the win, he tied A.J. Foyt’s record 18 seasons with at least one IndyCar victory, and extended his own consecutive season win record to 16.

Equally strong throughout the night, Rosenqvist appeared headed for a second-place finish behind his teammate, until a late-race crash while attempting to pass the lapped car of James Hinchcliffe sent Rosenqvist into the wall on Lap 191.

Behind Dixon, Zach Veach rebounded from a disappointing 2019 season with a strong run to fourth place, equaling his career-best previous Indy car finish.  Colton Herta steadily worked his way from 14th on the grid to finish seventh, while his Andretti Autosport teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay recovered from his dramas at the start to claw his way back on to the lead lap and an eighth-place result.

Making his first oval race start in any series, Indy car rookie Alex Palou was the innocent victim when his Dale Coyne Racing with Team Goh Honda was collected by a spinning fellow rookie, Rinus Veekay, on Lap 36.  Hinchcliffe’s first race back with Andretti Autosport was hobbled when a wheel nut jammed during his third pit stop, dropping him off the lead lap.  Takuma Sato was unable to take the green flag after crashing his Honda in qualifying.  With just two hours between qualifying and the race, his Rahal Letterman Lanigan team was unable to repair the damage in time for the early evening race start.

My engineer, Mark Bryant, gave me a car that was amazing and my crew – they were awesome. That played a big part in a race with not many on-track passes. I’m just happy and a big thank you to Andretti Autosport.”

UMe/Island and Beggars announced on may 28, 2020 a comprehensive reissue campaign which will see PJ Harvey’s entire back catalog – plus her two albums in collaboration with John Parish – released on vinyl over the next 12 months. For the first time, each of PJ Harvey’s album demos will be available as a stand-alone album on digital and vinyl.

This catalog project will celebrate every aspect of Harvey’s recording career and afford a comprehensive and exciting look at the evolution of one of the most singular and extraordinary artists of modern times.

The first release is DRY, Harvey’s seminal debut album back in print on vinyl for the first time in 20 years with the Beggars Archive/Too Pure Records reissue on July 24. Tillerman Returns to Earth 50 Years Later’

 

50 YEARS on from the release of Tea for the Tillerman, the 1970 multi-platinum selling, era-defining album that made a superstar, Yusuf / Cat Stevens is set to release Tea for the Tillerman² on September 18th via UMe.

Tea for the Tillerman² sees Yusuf recast the same eleven songs for a new age with dramatic results. Half a century and an entire universe of experiences after they were originally laid down on tape, T4TT² is a beautiful reunion between the artist and the songs that helped define the melodious ’70s. The impact of Tillerman has subtly intertwined with the fabric of popular culture while its songs have magnified and developed a life of their own through their ever-expanding use in film, TV, and numerous reinterpretations by other artists.

The album cover of T4TT² illustrates the same picturesque ‘Tea-Time’ scene that adorned the original album, fifty years later. The Tillerman has returned from an expedition to outer space only to discover a world that has become decidedly darker. The two toddlers, Grady and Timmy, are still playing next to him – this time streaming the latest music and gaming on their mobile phones.

The concept for Tea for the Tillerman² grew out of a conversation, fittingly, between Yusuf and his son about how to celebrate the album’s 50th anniversary. This gave birth to the idea of reimagining and rerecording the songs, and the results speak for themselves. Paul Samwell-Smith was contacted and a week was booked at La Fabrique Studios, in the South of France in the Summer of 2019, close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence where Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works. The studio itself carries a rich and varied history, having once been a factory for dyeing the prestigious red jackets of Napoleon’s famous Hussars and also being home to one of the largest collections of classic French cinema and vinyl records. Providentially, the whole experience was filmed.

 

 

Most of the 11 songs were written by a young 22-year-old Cat Stevens in and around his native Soho habitat at the tail end of the swinging ’60s, but here are sung and played after a lifetime of introspection, development and a fresh perspective. Already viewed as some of the greatest songs of their, or any other, era, they stand on their own merits all over again, whilst reflecting a new shimmering light on the original recordings, amplifying their ongoing relevance and place in the lexicon of great songwriting.

Tea for the Tillerman² sees Yusuf reunite with all the key actors from the original album – producer Paul Samwell-Smith and Alun Davies on guitar. They are joined by Bruce Lynch on bass, a member of Yusuf’s band from the mid-70s. Guitarist Eric Appapoulay and multi-instrumentalist Kwame Yeboah on percussion and keys represent Yusuf’s current live band and they are supported by Jim Cregan on guitar and Peter Vettese on keys. The session was engineered by David Hefti who has contributed to Yusuf’s sound live and in the studio for close to ten years.

Fifty years on from their inception, the songs on T4TT² sonically resonate again, as loud today as ever. The album speaks anew of concern for the natural world and examines some of our most profound relationships, generation to generation, underpinned by a longing for spiritual union in an unpredictable and increasingly broken materialistic world. Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ life and career have seen him walk a boundless path and yet the central humanity of his message has remained consistent, radiating a warm and comforting musical accompaniment to the search for peace and understanding between peoples, and in harmony with nature. “Looking Back on COVID-19” Stirs Emotions, Poses the Question: What Will You Remember When This Is All Over?

 

“After some reflection, our team wanted to express a different perspective…to produce something that looked ahead, but by doing so — looked back,” said Rob Falls, president and CEO of Falls. “We thought about someday — all of this will all be over. And time will pass. And, of course, we will remember the suffering, the personal losses and the separation from each other. In the opening scene, an all-too-common view of empty downtown streets, usually bustling — and quieted only by the stunning silence of social distancing — comes into view.

He goes on to recount the ways we have persevered together and kept others safe while staying apart; the ways we have passed the time; the ways we have become teachers and tech experts; the ways we have learned to appreciate those who are essential to our lives; and the ways we’ve come to accept our new normal.

Echoing the sentiments shared by the narrator at the conclusion of the film, Falls reflected, “When we look back, we hope we will learn, and never forget. Learn what is truly important to each of us…and remember.”

Asian Americans Advancing Justice, an affiliation of five independent civil rights organizations, celebrates a new documentary series, ASIAN AMERICANS, debuting on May 11 and 12, that examines the history, contributions, and complexities of Asian Americans – the fastest growing racial/ethnic group in the United States. To accompany the new docuseries, Advancing Justice – Los Angeles developed an educational curriculum to make the history of the Asian American experience available for current and future generations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asian Americans Advancing Justice Applauds Debut of Asian American Docuseries During Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

 

“We are proud of the partnerships, funding from Wallace H. Coulter Foundation and many others, and the months of planning it took to bring the ASIAN AMERICANS documentary series to fruition,” states Stewart Kwoh, Executive Director and President of Advancing Justice – Los Angeles, who championed the need for such a comprehensive documentary. “It is fitting that the documentary launches this month during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month because there is so much people do not understand about our culture and how much we are woven into the fabric of this country’s historical tapestry.”

The Asian American and Pacific Islander community is incredibly diverse, comprising nearly 50 different ethnicities, more than 100 languages, and numerous religions. All that and more is covered in this five-part series. The documentary covers poignant moments from the first wave of Asian immigrants in the 1850s to the modern refugee crises in a globally connected world draws direct parallels from history to some of the present-day struggles for civil and human rights.

 

The series showcases the parallel struggles of Asian Americans to fellow communities of color such as African Americans and Latinos. From the fight for desegregation to the parallels of immigration struggles, the stories tell how America came to be the diverse country it is today. Real stories of heroism, resilience in the face of adversity, racism, and family separation are examined in ASIAN AMERICANS.

Hip Hop Public Health (HHPH) the national nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering positive health behavior change through the power of hip hop music since 2005, launched on April 14, 20 Seconds or More, a new initiative to encourage hand washing and other safety protocols among the nation’s youth.
The focal point of 20 Seconds or More is a lively, three-minute music video featuring pioneering rapper and community health advocate, Doug E. Fresh, along with more than 40 noted individuals from the entertainment, sports, medical, civic and business sectors. These include a range of talents such as rappers DMC, Monie Love and Chuck D, pop and R&B singers Ashanti and Jordin Sparks, along with Jamie Foxx, Cedric The Entertainer, UNC NBA prospect Cole Anthony, Olympian Benita Fitzgerald Mosley and many others. Dr. Olajide Williams, Chief of Staff, Department of Neurology, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and Doug E. Fresh are the Co-Founders of HHPH and are spearheading the initiative with HHPH Executive Director and CEO, Lori Rose Benson. Philanthropic support for the initiative has been provided by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation and the Bristol Myers Squibb Black Organization for Leadership Development, an employee resource group.

THE POWER OF MUSIC

Hip Hop Public Health produced the song 20 Seconds or More in response to messaging failures governing the pandemic in the US. The song was written by Artie Green, and features Doug E. Fresh and Gerry Gunn with medical oversight by Dr. Williams. 20 Seconds or More is available on Spotify and will be on additional streaming music platforms this week, with the hopes of inspiring dance/rapping challenges to share these resources widely. The song’s catchy refrain, “Wash your hands everybody, and everybody just wash your hands,” is inspired by the classic hip hop riff that began with Big Hank and has been adopted by MCs and hip hop fans of all ages and backgrounds as a global anthem.

“The main goal of 20 Seconds or More is to bring together art, science and social media innovation to help fight the COVID-19 health crisis plaguing our nation and the world today,” says Doug E. Fresh. “As an artist and a health advocate, I have the responsibility of using my platform and my voice to make a change, beginning with young people, to help save lives and stop the spread of this virus.”

“Without a doubt, COVID-19 is one of the most challenging health crises of modern times,” says Dr. Olajide Williams. “Personal safety measures are important against the highly contagious Coronavirus, whose infectious profile includes a large number of silent ‘asymptomatic’ carriers (18-30%) capable of infecting others, and those with mild manifestations of the disease.”

The few community defenses against the devastating effects of COVID-19 include home quarantine, social distancing, and proper frequent hand washing. Data shows that these practices mitigate the spread of the virus and have helped to reduce transmission and sickness in countries that have implemented them.

Adds Dr. Williams, “We now know that younger people are more likely to have mild manifestations or silent infection compared to older individuals, and that communities of color are disproportionately affected. These groups need targeted health communication solutions for improving compliance with hand washing, social distancing and home quarantine. 20 Seconds or More is such a campaign, designed to motivate young people and communities of color to engage in regular hand washing and social distancing, while also appealing to the general public.”

“This is the era of personal responsibility, when the simple things we choose to do or not do have life and death consequences,” says Lori Rose Benson, Executive Director and CEO of Hip Hop Public Health. “Personal responsibility is empowered by education, social conditioning, and cultural relevance. We could therefore think of no better way to get this message across than by launching 20 Seconds or More. This is a life-saving, action-oriented platform that enables young people and all of us to recognize and utilize our power for the collective good health of our communities, the nation and the world.”
In addition to the song and video, HHPH has created multiple opportunities for the public to get involved in the 20 Seconds or More movement. Working in collaboration with OPEN, the Online Physical Education Network, HHPH created free lesson plans and other health educational materials to be shared with teachers, school leaders, parents and students to support remote learning and staying active at home. HHPH has also created opportunities for young people, educators and artists to serve as Ambassadors, or “HHPH MCs” charged with utilizing their social networks and platforms to inspire dance and rap challenges, while encouraging adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. HHPH’s network of MCs (Masters of Culture) helps to amplify key health messages to empower youth and teach them how to care for their physical and mental health.

HHPH is also sharing frequent updates and information regarding COVID-19 through a series of studies, papers and interactive sessions with Dr. Williams. These include the COVID-19 Industry Rapid Response Q&A with The Partnership for a Healthier America and HHPH’s latest blog post with engaging resources for families to stay active at home.

Today, we have made the following decision : The Festival de Cannes cannot be held on the scheduled dates, from May 12 to 23. Several options are considered in order to preserve its running, the main one being a simple postponement, in Cannes, until the end of June-beginning of July, 2020.

The lives of well-known women are also explored, including: Hedy Lamarr, Hollywood actress and producer and most importantly, inventor of the technology that gave birth to WiFi; Annette Kellerman, the extraordinary swimmer and inventor of the modern one-piece bathing suit, and not to forget Leymah Gbowee, the Liberian peace activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner. In “Brazen”, women are joined together under one common denominator: changing their own lives through their own actions, and in turn, changing the times and societies in which they live. Through their boldness, determination and strength of character, these women have broken prejudices and shattered barriers. They have rocked the world, daring to do as they please. For this reason, they are rebel ladies and so “Brazen”!

From its support of Women In Motion through to the launch and adaptation of the animated series of “Brazen”, Kering remains firmly committed to women in all the creative fields and supports those who wish to change things and raise the profile of women through the choices they have made, their careers, and their view of the world. Whether it is the illustrator and comic designer of “Brazen”, the directors, the producers or of course the heroines themselves: all are actors of the change advocated for by Women In Motion. By shining a light on the creativity and uniqueness of talented women whose work in the fields of arts and culture is helping to transform our vision of the world.

Brazen” is the comic created by Pénélope Bagieu, showcasing the stories of 30 women, some of whom are famous, who have contributed to change History. The women portrayed have stood up for women’s rights, taking a courageous stand in times of hardship. Bagieu skillfully and wittily recounts their stories.  

The animated series of “Brazen”, produced by Silex Films, an independent film company run by Priscilla Bertin and Judith Nora, takes the same approach. It is a story of admiration for these 30 women; an admiration shared and passed on by Pénélope Bagieu, the series’ directors, Mai Nguyen and Charlotte Cambon, and screenwriters, Emilie Valentin and Elise Benroubi. The success of their work lies in their ability to strike a balance between being playful and poetic whilst adding a dash of humor within the gaps of the 30-episode long story. Actress Cécile de France, leant her vocal talents to all characters in the animated series including our heroines, men, and children. “Brazen” will be broadcast in full on France.tv on March 8th, International Women’s Day. It will receive support from a teaser trailer aired all channels of France Télévisions on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March. The series will then receive daily airtime starting March 9th, from Monday to Friday, on France 5 until April 17th.

Presented by Kering Women In Motion – High-profile guests celebrate pioneering women who contribute to changing mindsets and achieving gender equality

In New York, on January 28, among entertainment, fashion, and cultural leaders, Academy Award-winning actresses Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis hosted a private screening of Ridley Scott’s landmark film, Thelma & Louise, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, presented by Kering, the leading luxury group.

 

Timed during the historic, 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, the evening celebrated the film, as the forerunner of feminist cinema, and raised awareness on women’s contributions to the industry, both in front of and behind the camera, and to society, through Kering’s Women In Motion program.  Since its creation in 2015, Women In Motion has highlighted the creativity and uniqueness of talented women whose work in the fields of arts and culture is helping to transform our vision of the world.  In 2016, Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis were the recipients of the Women In Motion Award, which recognizes every year during the Cannes Film Festival the careers and commitments shown by leading female figures in the world of cinema.

 

The night kicked off with red carpet arrivals, followed by a screening of the film in the museum’s Celeste Bartos Theater, presented by Ms. Sarandon; Ms. Davis; and Laurent Claquin, President of Kering Americas.  

 

To cap off the festivities, select notables attended an intimate dinner gathering at nearby celebrity watering hole, Monkey Bar, also hosted by Ms. Sarandon, Ms. Davis, and Kering.

Widely regarded as one of the important films of the 1990s, Thelma and Louise tells the story of two best friends—a bored housewife and straight-laced waitress at a coffee shop—who are sick of what they’ve settled for.  Deciding to escape the tedium of their everyday lives, the pair sneak off in Louise’s ’66 T-bird convertible for a three-day fishing trip with no husbands, no boyfriends, and no problems. But things don’t go quite according to plan when an encounter with a drunken, foul-mouthed, would-be rapist transforms their quiet getaway into a cross-country escape that will change their lives forever.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands will be hosted by Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit. Chantal Janzen is a famous actress and presenter, Edsilia Rombley a presenter, singer and two-time Eurovision participant, and Jan Smit is a successful singer, presenter and Eurovision commentator for the Netherlands.

The presenters will open the 3 live shows, talk to the contestants in the Green Room and guide the voting for an audience of some 180 million viewers from Europe and around the world. “When deciding on hosts, we first and foremost chose 3 people with a great deal of stage experience. They also happen to have started their career as singers,” says Sietse Bakker, Executive Producer Event of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

Chantal Janzen

Chantal was born in 1979 in Tegelen and studied at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. She rose to fame as a musical actress, performing in Tarzan, Petticoat and Hij gelooft in mij. She also acted in several well-known Dutch movies. Chantal started her TV career at public broadcaster AVRO, where she hosted the award show Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, she made the transfer to commercial broadcaster RTL where she hosted shows like Holland’s Got Talent and The Voice of Holland. Chantal Janzen won the Televizier-Ster award for best TV presenter an impressive 5 times.

Edsilia Rombley

Born in Amsterdam in 1978, Edsilia (Instagram) was introduced to the general public when she won the Dutch talent programme Soundmixshow in 1996. A year later she also won the European Soundmixshow and, in 1998, she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest with Hemel & Aarde, finishing 4th.

In 2007, she took part for the second time with On Top of the World. Edsilia also presented the Dutch voting and jury results twice. She hosted the first season of the successful AVROTROS programme Beste Zangers. Since 2005 the popular singer completed 7 theatre tours and since 2014 she has been performing as part of the formation Ladies of Soul annually. In 2019 she hosted Eurovision in Concert, which she will also do in 2020.

Jan Smit

Jan Smit (Instagram) was born in 1985 and grew up in Volendam and scored his first hit at the age of 10. In 2005, his reality show Gewoon Jan Smit won the Televizier-Ring award. Jan is also a member of De Toppers and the German formation KLUBBB3. Since 2012, he has been hosting the AVROTROS show Beste Zangers, which got nominated for a Televizier-Ring in 2017 and 2019. As a singer, Jan is not only well known in the Netherlands, but also in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is the most successful Dutch artist in Germany, reaching up to 12 million viewers with Schlagerchampions, Die Hüttenparty and Schlagerboom.

As part of an ongoing collaboration for the development of multiple entertainment components, Grupo Vidanta and Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group will create a first of its kind water-themed resident dinner show housed in a new, custom-designed theater, located in Vidanta’s entertainment parks currently under construction in Vallarta.

At the five-year anniversary of Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ in Riviera Maya, and celebrating its unrivaled success, Grupo Vidanta, the developer of Mexico and Latin America’s leading resorts and JOYÀ’s award winning theater design, along with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group officially announced the launch of an exciting new show that will include a mesmerizing high-level gastronomic experience. Grupo Vidanta, with construction already underway of their Vallarta area entertainment parks, has also begun the construction of a specially designed, world-class theater – equipped with innovative technology and a capacity of up to 600 guests.
