Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce is a Small Village located between Saint-Gervais-les-Bains et Les Contamines-Montjoie (10 kilometers from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and attached to the City since 1973 by “l’Arrêté Préfectoral du 29 Décembre 1973”). The Armancette Group establishments started their Activities in the Small Village by buying an Old Bakery and transforming it into a 5* Hotel & Spa, claiming to be designed to satisfy the Needs of Customers in Search of Something Different.

There are very few Holiday Companies bringing the Mass Market to the Area and the majority of Chalet Operators that were offering Catered Accommodation to Guests have now closed their Doors and the remaining ones are Independent “Owner-Run” Chalets, whilst some new Luxury Chalets are built and planned. Therefore some Towns and the Ski Area , which is the 3rd largest in France with 445 km of piste (eg. Megeve, Combloux, Les Contamines, La Giettaz) avoid the Heavy Congestion of some of this Resort’s more Famous Neighbours. Investment in the Ski Area in terms of New Lifts and Snow Cannons is High.

The main Railway Station for Saint-Gervais is the Gare de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet. The Fabulous and Historic Mont Blanc Tramway departs from Le Fayet Station and reaches the Nid d’Aigle Station at the Bionnassay Glacier at an altitude of 2372 m (7800 ft). The Saint-Gervais–Vallorcine Railway departs from Le Fayet Station and takes you to Chamonix and across the Swiss border to Martigny. Numerous other Destinations throughout France (including Direct Trains to Paris) can be accessed from the main SNCF Station at Le Fayet.

Accor and Arora announce agreement to bring iconic Fairmont brand to Windsor

Leading augmented hospitality group Accor and Arora Group, one of the UK’s leading hotel owner-operators, today announced the signing of a prestigious luxury hotel, Fairmont Windsor Park. The hotel is currently undergoing a substantial multi-million pound redevelopment and is set to open in the second half of 2020.

The hotel will be the third Fairmont property in the United Kingdom, joining The Savoy in London, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, and Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland, and demonstrates the growing partnership with Arora Group.

Located adjacent to Windsor Great Park and Savill Gardens, the Windsor property is located on the former site of Savill Court Hotel and Spa, which was owned and operated by Arora Group. The site is being completely redeveloped to create a property in line with Fairmont’s globally-recognised standards.

With more than 75 locations around the globe, Fairmont is known for its grand and awe-inspiring properties, many of which are steeped in history and positioned as being at the heart of their local communities. The Windsor hotel promises to redefine luxury in the UK hospitality market, embracing the eclectic lifestyle of its location and boasting over 200 bedrooms and opulent suites, as well as a Royal Suite with exclusive access to a private section of the spa and wellness area.

The hotel will feature an impressive 2,500 square metre spa and wellness area, curated by leading industry experts, that will include both an indoor lap pool and outdoor vitality pool, treatment rooms, salt room, Hammam and Japanese foot spa with views over the courtyard and fire pit.

As part of its food and beverage offering, the hotel will have a tea lounge, specialist dining restaurant and a champagne bar serving champagne and wine from specially selected vineyards around the world. Additionally, there will be an all-day dining venue offering dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients, incorporating a private dining space and a gin bar.

In one wing of the hotel, Fairmont Windsor Park will offer 16 elegantly designed meeting rooms including an 800 square meter pillar-free ballroom with the capacity to cater events of up to 700 guests and two stunning event spaces with natural daylight, access to private terraces, as well as bespoke landscaped gardens for outdoor functions.

The design has been completely overhauled and the hotel renovated based on one central theme – the world of sport and the mountains. Raw materials such as stone, wood and leather have been used throughout the hotel to create a relaxed, warm and imaginative space connecting the inside to the outside.

NOVOTEL ANNECY CENTRE: DARING TO CREATE NEW EMOTIONS

This extensive refurbishment helps to satisfy customer demand more effectively by providing a venue that is at one with Annecy, an invigorating city of sport and celebration. Just like the city, the hotel draws on indoor / outdoor inspiration, with a vibrant atmosphere thanks to an elegant yet functional layout. It is the perfect place to enjoy a drink, grab a bite to eat, work, play or just unwind.
 
The 95 guestrooms have been revamped, featuring décor that is totally inspired by the outdoors. Spacious, contemporary and adaptable, a magnificent mountain landscape rises from behind the headboards to immerse visitors in the world of the hotel and the destination.
A gym is available, featuring a wide range of equipment including rowing machines that accurately replicate the movement and fluency experienced in reality (such as on a lake).
Sport extends beyond the gym, with a fitness trail on the staircase that connects each floor. Squats, cardio workout, calories burned with each step up – everything has been designed to create a genuine “indoor hub” in the heart of the hotel!

NEW RESTAURANT: THE CRAIC, A GOURMET RETREAT

What’s the CRAIC! This Irish expression refers to a mindset, a lifestyle. It’s about having fun, time to relax and enjoying it to the full! This new restaurant, which only draws on Irish inspiration for its name and attitude, was created by Fabrice Gratreaud, Managing Director of the hotel, with 26 years’ experience within Accor Group, and his highly dedicated teams.
Just a short walk from the train station, The Craic restaurant was designed as a place of relaxation, giving travelers and locals alike the chance to unwind and enjoy good food. The different areas are structured around a central food bar conducive to sharing and socializing.
 
Mathieu Laville, the talented young chef at the helm of the restaurant, draws inspiration for his eclectic culinary approach from his extensive travels. After holding several positions in France, he went to live in Australia and then Asia (in Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia). While there, he discovered a different kind of cuisine, full of new flavors and textures. Since then, he has promoted modern fusion cuisine. Combining memories of his travels with local produce, his creations are rich in both flavor and emotion.

– Unusually for Annecy, the restaurant will be open all day, from 7am to 10pm (and until midnight every Friday and Saturday).

Boasting a giant screen and a DJ booth, the bar offers an extensive menu of drinks from around the world, with a focus on beers, fruit juices and whisky from the surrounding Savoy region! The Barista is there for coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, and aperitifs and sharing platters as well as cocktails in the evening.

The Craic will also have an outdoor terrace, open all year round – a vibrant space in tune with the seasons, featuring a fire basket, pétanque, various games, etc.

Special feature: creation of a bakery corner with local artisan bakers, brothers Yvan and Ulrich Masset. It’s a simple yet ingenious idea – to feature a high-quality neighborhood business, intended for a local clientele, which symbolizes traditional French craftsmanship in the eyes of international travelers. This Bakery Corner by The CRAIC & Comptoir du Pain may well become the place to go, whether to buy your fresh bread, grab a sandwich for lunch, or browse the delicatessen range, which includes jellies, Crozet pasta, Opinel pocket knives, Tétra flasks, delicious gateaux, etc., all from the Savoy region! Situated just a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel Victor Hugo Paris Kléber (****) offers a strategic location in a quiet street of the 16th arrondissement, in the heart of the French capital. The design of the rooms combines various harmonies with all the amenities necessary to a comfortable stay. A neoclassical environment, a tasteful contemporary style decor with Louis XVI furniture, all crafted by master cabinet-makers in the finest French tradition.

Historic Restaurateur Jacques BLANC took the Clallenge of renovating the Hôtel Victor Hugo Paris Kleber, right in the Heart of the 16th Arrondissement of Paris. His aim was (during Two Years) to highlight this building of the 30s giving an exceptional View on a pool of aerial water unknown to Parisians. To achieve this ultimate goal, he called again Laurent MAUGOUST (famous Architect-Designer) and gave him Carte Blanche. Both imagined this Timeless Boutique-Hotel as an Extension of a House where would be invited Friends for a stay. The whole work was to bring back to date the Art de Vivre of the Time of the Famous writer Victor Hugo.

VICTOR HUGO was a French Poet, Novelist, and Dramatist of the Romantic Movement. He is considered to be one of the greatest and best-known French Writers. Outside France, his most famous Works are the Novels Les Misérables, 1862, and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (French : Notre-Dame de Paris), 1831. In France, Victor Hugo is known primarily for his Poetry Collections, such as “Les Contemplations” (The Contemplations) and “La Légende des Siècles” (The Legend of the Ages). Hugo was at the forefront of the Romantic Literary Movement with his Play “Cromwell” and Drama “Hernani”. Many of his Works have inspired Music, both during his Lifetime and after his Death, including the Musicals “Notre-Dame de Paris” and “Les Misérables”. He produced more than 4,000 Drawings in his Lifetime, and campaigned for Social Causes such as the Abolition of Capital Punishment.

Though a committed Royalist when he was Young, Hugo’s Views changed as the Decades passed, and he became a Passionate Supporter of Republicanism ; his Work touches upon most of the Political and Social Issues and the Artistic Trends of his time. He is buried in the Panthéon in Paris. His Legacy has been honoured in many ways, including his Portrait being placed on French Currency.

Hôtel Victor Hugo Paris Kleber is a 1930s Building inspired by Art Deco Lifestyle. What is Art Deco ? The early 20th-century impulse to create “Modern” Design – Objects and Environments suited to a Fast-Paced Industrialised World – led to the development of Countless Expressions, all of which fall under the Rubric of Art Deco. But nowhere did Art Deco emerge more coherently than in France. The narrative of French Art Deco was firmly established by the time of the 1925 Paris Exposition, formed by the Designers, Museum Professionals, and Academics who had helped shape the style itself. While Designers elsewhere often rejected earlier Aesthetics, Materials and Techniques, French Designers sought Innovation by embracing History.

The Roots of French Art Deco are to be found in the Ancien Régime (the Political and Social System of France before the Revolution of 1789) and its time honoured Traditions of Apprenticeship and Guild Training. During the 18th Century, France established itself in the Forefront of the Luxury Trades, producing Furniture, Porcelain, Glass, Metalwork and Textiles of unsurpassed Refinement and Elegance. The World’s Tallest Modular Hotel – which will carry a Brand of Marriott International – is on Track to be stacked in Late Fall in New York City with Prefabricated and Pre-Furnished Guestrooms. Once erected over a 90-Day Period, the 360-Foot-Tall Tower will represent a Milestone for Marriott’s Ongoing Initiative to encourage Hotel Developers in North America to embrace Modular for New Construction Projects. To be topped with a Modular Roof and Modular Rooftop Bar, the World’s Tallest Modular Hotel is expected to open in late 2020 as the AC Hotel New York NoMad.

 

“In North America, the Construction Process hasn’t changed significantly in 150 Years and it’s ripe for Innovation,” said Eric Jacobs, Marriott International, Chief Development Officer, North America, Select and Extended Stay Brands. “The World’s Tallest Modular Hotel in one of the World’s Greatest Destinations will act as a Game-Changing Symbol to ignite even Greater Interest in Modular among the Real Estate and Lending Industries.”
The 168-Room, 26-Story AC Hotel New York NoMad is scheduled to rise at 842 Sixth Avenue with Prefabricated Guestrooms arriving at the Hotel Site fully constructed, inside and out. Besides finished, painted Walls, each “Module” will contain a Fully Outfitted Guest Room – with Beds, Sheets, Pillows, Flooring and even Toiletries. The Hotel’s Roof and Rooftop Bar are expected to be produced using Modular Construction, and its more Customized Public Areas such as the Restaurant and Lobby are expected to be constructed using Traditional Methods.
Prefabrication is a Process that Marriott has found Typically reduces the Construction Timeline, Curbs Site Waste and Noise, and results in a Higher-Quality Product produced with Factory Level Precision. The Time savings comes from the Ability to perform Two Crucial Functions simultaneously – building the Public Spaces on Site while manufacturing the Guest Rooms Offsite.
Marriott, which has the Largest Pipeline of Hotels in North America, began researching Modular Construction in 2014 to offset lengthening Hotel Construction Times – a Trend attributed to the Nation’s Building Boom and resulting Labor Shortages. Since 2011, Marriott has seen the Average Time to build and open a Hotel in North America increase by as much 50 %, depending on Factors such as Location and Size of Property.
Since 2015, Marriott has been educating Owners, Franchisees, Architects, Lenders, Consultants, General Contractors and other Stakeholders across the Industry about the Benefits of Modular by hosting Town Halls, Factory Tours and Stacking Events. The Company also worked with Leading Modular Manufacturers to help them better understand the Untapped Demand that Hotel Development Companies represent.
Since the Launch of Marriott’s Initiative, the Company’s Development Partners in North America have opened 31 Marriott-Brand Hotels – all Low-Rise Structures – that incorporate Prefabricated Guestrooms and/or Bathrooms, including a Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Folsom, Calif.; a Courtyard by Marriott in Pullman, Wash., and three AC Hotels in Oklahoma City, Louisville, Ky., and Chapel Hill, N.C. To date, the largest Marriott-branded Modular-Built to open is the 354-Room, Dual-Brand Courtyard and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Property in Hawthorne, Calif., while the first to also incorporate a Prefabricated Elevator Bank was the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Prairie, Wisc. Later this year, a Developer will start stacking the First Modular-Built Moxy Hotel in the United States in Downtown Oakland, Calif.
The Company continues Efforts to support Developers interested in leveraging Prefabrication, most recently launching Modular Versions of its Prototypes for Four of its Higher-Volume Brands : Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Underscoring its Commitment to igniting Demand for Modular Construction, Marriott this year is offering an Incentive to development Companies that leverage Prefabrication for Guestroom Construction.

This Group represents the Desire to deeply rethink their Working Environment in a High-Standing Building.

The Creation of this Group of Young Talents is an Innovative and Unprecedented Approach.

Designed by Jean Nouvel, developed by Hines and AG Real Estate and purchased by Amundi Immobilier, and Primonial REIM on behalf of their Funds, HEKLA is a Major Architectural Project that will be part of the Skyline of Paris La Défense in 2022 and will enrich the Architecture of Grand Paris. Both by its Exceptional Form and its Willingness to offer a new Experience, HEKLA will soon represent, in France and Worldwide, a Particularly Inspired and Creative Sequence of the Commercial Real Estate Sector.

These Personalities who joined to form the “HEKLA Creatives” Group, around Jean Nouvel, have expressed a Real Enthusiasm at the Idea of taking part in this Beautiful Adventure, that will contribute to shaping a New Daily Life for the Thousands of Employees (nearly 200 000 People) working in Paris La Défense. 220 Meters High, the Hekla Tower will develop 76 000 sq.m of Offices on 48 Floors at its planned Delivery in 2022, , with a Capacity of up to 5,800 Employees.
